Practice Overview

The practice provides comprehensive orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, including:

• Sports Medicine
• Spine Surgery
• Hand & Wrist Care
• Foot & Ankle Care
• Shoulder & Elbow Care
• General Orthopedics
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Nonoperative Musculoskeletal Care

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship-trained Total Joint
• Interested in joining an independent, physician-led practice
• Committed to building a long-term career in West Texas

The practice is particularly interested in physicians who value:

Call Responsibilities

• Clinic call responsibilities are shared among the orthopedic surgeons
• The group currently consists of five physicians, with call expected to grow to approximately 1:6 and beyond as additional providers join the practice
• No mandatory hospital call
• Physicians are encouraged, but not required, to participate in voluntary trauma call coverage at the local hospital
• The primary focus of the opportunity is developing an elective, subspecialty orthopedic practice

Trauma Call Opportunities

For physicians who elect to participate in trauma call, the affiliated hospital is a Level III Trauma Center. Potential cases may include:

• Extremity fractures
• Joint injuries
• Sports-related injuries
• Spine consultations
• Periprosthetic fractures
• General orthopedic trauma cases

Practice Structure & Schedule

The final schedule will be tailored to specialty focus, patient demand, operating room availability, and individual practice growth.

A typical full-time schedule may include:

• Outpatient clinic
• Surgery and procedures
• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) time
• Hospital-based surgical cases

Operating Room Access

• Approximately 1 to 1.5 days of OR time weekly initially
• OR block time expands as patient volume and procedural demand increase
• Opportunity to build a robust surgical practice supported by strong referral sources and growing community demand
