Position Overview
As an Otolaryngologist (ENT) at the VA, you will provide a full spectrum of ENT surgical and medical care for Veterans. You'll work in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment with a strong focus on patient-centered outcomes, education, and work-life balance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with diseases requiring ENT surgery and/or treatment for palliation or cure

  • Screen and triage both inpatients and outpatients to determine further care needs

  • Perform initial histories, physical exams, and a range of major/minor surgical procedures

  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic studies such as labs, x-rays, EKGs, CT scans

  • Provide robust educational instruction for UCSF Fresno residents/fellows, ensuring curriculum requirements are met

  • Communicate clearly and courteously with all patients, visitors, staff, and colleagues

  • Actively support the medical center and service missions, modeling professionalism and respect in all interactions

  • Engage in patient and family education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and participate in quality improvement

  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record

Benefits & Retirement

  • Salary: $335,000-$365,000 with potential bonuses
