Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $65k-$85k

A well-established Elder Law and Estate Planning firm is seeking experienced Paralegals to join its growing team. The firm specializes in helping individuals and families with estate planning, elder law, trusts, Medicaid planning, asset protection, probate, and estate administration.


The firm provides a highly client-focused environment and works closely with individuals and families to protect their assets and properly plan for the future.


About the Role

We are seeking organized, detail-oriented Paralegals to support attorneys handling Elder Law and Trusts & Estates matters.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience in estate planning, trusts and estates, elder law, probate, or estate administration and be comfortable communicating directly with clients.


Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with estate planning and elder law matters
  • Draft and prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents
  • Assist with probate and estate administration matters
  • Support trust administration
  • Assist with Medicaid planning and applications
  • Gather and review financial records, asset information, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare court filings, petitions, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, courts, financial institutions, and other parties
  • Coordinate client meetings, document signings, and follow-up items
  • Maintain organized client files and track important deadlines
  • Provide a high level of client service throughout the estate planning and administration process


Qualifications

  • Previous Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience
  • Experience in Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, or Estate Administration strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
  • Strong document preparation and proofreading skills
  • Comfortable working directly with clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management systems
  • Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred, but not required with applicable experience
  • Knowledge of estate and probate procedures within the applicable state is a plus
