Part-Time Dsp

Access Services is seeking a caring and patient Part-Time Dsp (Direct Support Professionals) to support individuals in the Lehighton and Tamaqua areas.

The current shift options are:

Lehighton

Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm

Monday 3:00pm-5:00pm

Thursday OR Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm

Tamaqua

Monday : 4 hours, flexible daytime schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday 3:30pm-6:30pm

As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to provide supports to adults with developmental disabilities/Autism, as they participate in meaningful activities and experiences throughout their community. You'll provide individualized support based on each person's needs, interest, and goals. Paid training is provided by Access Services, so no experience is necessary.

Key Responsibilities of the Dsp:

Direct Support Professionals will assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities in the region where you serve. You will provide creative support through a variety of tasks, activities and/or community engagement. You may provide direct services to individuals in their own homes or in their natural family homes.

Direct Support Professionals will provide supports as outlined in the individual's plan of care utilizing approved interventions. This includes safe crisis management techniques, emotional support, and positive reinforcement.

Direct Support Professionals will maintain appropriate case notes for the individuals served.

Direct Support Professionals will engage in supervision, training, and professional development.
