Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-time Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in the Department of Healthcare & Medical Services. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to patients across a variety of conditions, helping them restore function, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life. Working within a system of hospitals and clinics dedicated to improving and saving lives across Texas, you will evaluate patients through comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s goals and needs.

You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care, communicate patient progress, and ensure continuity of services. Daily responsibilities include performing detailed musculoskeletal and neuromuscular examinations, establishing measurable treatment goals, implementing manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs, providing gait and balance training, and educating patients and families on home exercise programs, precautions, and safe functional mobility. You will document all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record in accordance with Methodist Health System policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Aligned with Methodist Health System’s culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability, the Part-time Physical Therapist will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and a patient-centered mindset. You will actively contribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment by participating in interdisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement activities, while respecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of patients and colleagues. The position offers the opportunity to care for patients across the continuum—from post-surgical and orthopedic conditions to neurological, cardiopulmonary, and general deconditioning—requiring the ability to adapt treatment approaches and prioritize caseload efficiently.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working part-time hours that may include weekdays and occasional weekends based on patient needs and department scheduling. You should be able to safely manage patient handling and mobility tasks, adhere to infection prevention and safety standards, and maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and professional practice guidelines. Methodist Health System supports ongoing professional growth, encouraging therapists to engage in continuing education, integrate current best practices, and contribute to the advancement of rehabilitation services within the organization. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives while working in a mission-driven, supportive healthcare environment.
