Working within a collaborative and inclusive environment that emphasizes integrity, compassion, and accountability, you will evaluate patients referred by physicians and other providers, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver a full range of therapeutic interventions.

As a Part-time Physical Therapist, you will perform comprehensive musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional mobility assessments, interpret clinical findings, and establish measurable, patient-centered goals. You will implement treatment programs that may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, functional mobility training, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education on injury prevention and home exercise programs. You will adjust treatment plans based on patient response, clinical progress, and best-practice guidelines, ensuring that care is safe, effective, and aligned with Methodist Health System’s standards of excellence.

You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team that may include physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care and smooth transitions between settings. You will maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory, payer, and organizational requirements.

You will promote a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that respects cultural, linguistic, and individual differences, and you will advocate for patient needs and safety at all times.

This role requires strong clinical reasoning, flexibility, and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You may work in outpatient, inpatient, or acute care settings depending on departmental needs, and you will be expected to manage a part-time caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent quality of care. You will participate in ongoing professional development, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice updates to ensure care remains current and effective.

Methodist Health System offers competitive compensation, pro-rated benefits for eligible part-time staff, and opportunities for growth and collaboration within a respected healthcare organization committed to clinical excellence and compassionate service.
