Equipment Collection and Return Specialist
Job Description
To safely and timely collect and return equipment from assigned retail locations to maintenance/warehouse facility and back again. Routes are assigned daily and requires prompt attention and safe handling of all customer and company owned equipment and parts.
Responsibilities
Major areas of accountability include:
- Communicating with warehouse and shop personnel to coordinate pick up and receiving of equipment between retail locations and maintenance and warehouse facility.
- Loading and unloading equipment for delivery.
- Assisting with inventory ordering, staging, and stocking of the needed parts by Small Engine Mechanics to repair equipment.
- Providing assistance in the physical inventory program at warehouse locations.
- Keeping supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinating and communicating plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
- Performing related work as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
At least 2 years' experience in a driving and/or delivery capacity.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, company personnel and others.
Physical demands include:
- Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle objects and talk or hear.
- Frequent wrist and/or hand movement is required.
- Frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
