This not-for-profit hospital serves a regional population of more than 400,000 residents and maintains established clinical protocols and dedicated inpatient resources to support pediatric and newborn services. Clinical operations are structured on-site to ensure continuous care delivery for the patient population served.

Virginia offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational activities throughout the state. The region provides opportunities for hiking, water-based recreation, and wildlife observation, as well as cultural and historical exploration during time away from the assignment.

The pediatric hospitalist will provide day shift and call coverage on a 17-bed pediatric floor and in the newborn nursery, supporting approximately 2,400 annual deliveries on an on-site basis in Virginia. The clinician will manage a pediatric floor average daily census of 5 patients and a newborn nursery average daily census of 15 patients. Call coverage is required, with the clinician available from home or hotel following completion of daily rounding. Board certification in Pediatrics is required for this locum tenens assignment.
