This acute rehabilitation unit operates within an acute care hospital setting, providing specialized physical medicine and rehabilitation services with dedicated resources for comprehensive patient care. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and infrastructure to support quality rehabilitation outcomes. Inpatient hospital staff are available to facilitate coordinated care delivery throughout the assignment period.

The physiatrist will provide comprehensive inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation services with 24-hour call coverage. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations for admissions to the rehabilitation unit, performing rounds on all rehabilitation patients, and coordinating rehabilitation patients' daily activities. The clinician will participate in team meetings, conference calls, and morning rehabilitation huddles while managing 1-2 admits and discharges per day. Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required for this position.
