Highlights
Exciting new opportunity to become a part of an established rehabilitation unit at a premier hospital in Chicago.
The inpatient rehabilitation unit at Advocate Christ Medical Center is a specialized facility where you will spend approximately 75% of your time on the inpatient service, a 37 bed unit with an average daily census of 10-12 patients
Approximately 25% of your time will be spent on the outpatient service with the outpatient census averaging between 8 and 12 patients
Staffing includes a robust team with skilled Social Workers and Case Managers, Registered Nurses, rehabilitation technicians, and a full spectrum of therapy professionals
Physicians in this unit will practice the full scope of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), working closely with specialists and other team members
Procedures will include botulinum toxin injections, joint injections, and EMGs
The patient population served is notably diverse, with 35% stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, cardiac/complex medical, complicated joint replacement, some cancer, and other conditions such as trauma, fractures, lower extremity amputations, and general debility
Weekend and holiday call rotation 1:4.
