Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in both full-time and per diem capacities. The ideal candidate works effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and is committed to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, balance, and function
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Physical Therapist
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and functional mobility activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe and clean therapy environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Texas PTA license (or eligibility)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
