Klarus Home Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide coordinated physical therapy services to home health patients of all age groups in Albuquerque, NM and surrounding areas. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, this role offers meaningful one-on-one patient care, flexibility, and professional autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care
  • Implement treatment plans and document patient progress
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and mobility
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree
  • Current Idaho PTA license or PT Licensure Compact (PTLC) license, as applicable
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto liability insurance
  • 1+ year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Home health experience
  • Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and perform prolonged standing and walking
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
  • Ability to work under moderate stress to meet deadlines and patient needs
  • Work performed in patient homes under varying conditions
