Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an outpatient assignment in Norway, ME. The therapist will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide discipline-specific delegation and direction, and document care in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards. Responsibilities include patient and family education, participation in student training as assigned, professional development, and adherence to safety and quality initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Maine Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including evaluation, plan of care development, goal writing, and functional outcome assessment.
- Experience with documentation, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with payer and clinic requirements.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and equipment use, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to supervise or mentor students and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in outpatient clinic settings with varied caseloads including orthopedics and post-operative patients.
- Prior involvement in performance improvement initiatives and comfort using clinical management tools for professional development.
