Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist opportunity in Midlothian, VA at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, provide discipline-specific direction, and educate patients, families and students. Maintain professional standards, adhere to safety policies, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Virginia physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, goal writing, and timely clinical documentation.
• Experience working in outpatient settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise, delegate, and provide direction for discipline-specific therapy services.
• Maintain required state-mandated continuing education and adhere to the State Practice Act.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience participating in student education and precepting.
• Prior experience with functional treatment program design and return-to-community activity planning.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement processes.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.

Complete evaluations, document care in compliance with regulatory and payer guidelines, and ensure services are provided under valid physician orders when required.
