Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Bethel, ME, providing outpatient therapy to patients recovering from injuries and managing chronic conditions. The role includes evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting care, supervising discipline-specific therapy services, and participating in student education and professional development. Candidates will follow state practice acts, maintain licensure, and adhere to organizational safety and compliance standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Maine state license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy required.
• Competence in comprehensive evaluation, goal writing, documentation, and use of clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans.
• Ability to complete timely, accurate medical record documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
• Adherence to professional codes of conduct and state practice acts. Maintain required continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising or delegating tasks to therapy assistants or support staff.
• Prior involvement in student clinical education or mentorship.
• Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and quality measures in an outpatient setting.

• Shift schedule: 5x8.
