Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Kansas state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Minimum 6 months current acute care physical therapy experience required.
  • Experience with ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, gym equipment, and vital machines preferred.
  • Experience with Meditech Magic EMR preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Neuro certification or neuro experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, caregiver training, and daily evaluation/treatment.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0700-1530.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Typical patient load: carry up to a 6-hour treatment load during an 8-hour shift.
  • Clinician responsible for tracking therapy time/charges to meet inpatient rehab 3-hour therapy requirements.

Impacting Patient Care

Join as a travel PT and provide evaluation and treatment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Deliver gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and caregiver training while collaborating with an interdisciplinary therapy team. Work in a modern 41-bed inpatient facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a full IADL kitchen. Maintain documentation and ensure required therapy minutes are met for each patient.
