Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Bowling Green, KY, working in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital setting where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage complex medical and neuro-rehabilitation needs while experiencing a new location. This role supports patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team focused on safe patient handling and outcomes driven treatment plans.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Kentucky state physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience or clinical rotation in outpatient neuro or neuro-rehabilitation preferred; inpatient LTAC or complex medical populations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in comprehensive evaluation, goal writing, documentation, and discharge planning within regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform safe patient handling, and adhere to facility safety policies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in outpatient neuro settings or specialized neuro rehab certifications preferred.
  • Experience with equipment trialing, home exercise program development, and student supervision preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

This position requires completion of comprehensive patient evaluations and development of treatment plans that progress patients toward discharge within established lengths of stay. The clinician will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, ensure timely equipment ordering and training, provide clear documentation including letters of medical necessity and discharge summaries, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. The role supports student learning and requires maintenance of licensure, adherence to state practice acts, and ongoing professional development.
