Job Summary:

Functions as a part of a large and varied healthcare team consisting of physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, and members of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to a variety of diagnostic categories and supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. The person in this position will function as a generalist while developing a specialization in a clinical area of interest. ***$10k Sign On Bonus Offer Incentive + Relocation Enhancement***


Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Patient Treatment:
  • Implements treatment plan utilizing current theory and practice; works towards established goals; modifies goals and treatment plan as necessary and indicated.
  • Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services.
  • Coordinates appropriate follow up post discharge from care.

Patient Assessment:

  • Performs functions related to patient evaluation/re-evaluation, goal setting, and discharge planning according to department policy and procedures.
  • Documents findings according to department policy and bills for services. Ensures findings are shared with appropriate individuals and provides necessary follow up.

Education:

  • Provides a positive learning environment for observers, volunteers, students, and co-workers.
  • Willingly accepts learners and ensures learning objectives are achieved. Provides learning opportunities for department staff on topics related to clinical specialty.

Productivity:

  • Meets departmental productivity standards.
  • Takes initiative to insure that established productivity standard is met on an ongoing and regular basis.
  • Takes an active role in servicing patients with immediate needs.
  • Documents productivity in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.


Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Physical Therapy


Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
