The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering skilled therapy services to patients with a wide range of diagnoses. This role focuses on improving patient mobility, independence, and functional outcomes through guided treatment plans and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans
• Provide hands-on therapy to improve patient mobility and function
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to therapy protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient recovery

Required Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
• Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License Required upon hire
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Required upon hire
• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Client background check required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Knowledge of therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
