Physician - Anesthesiology

Job Details:

• Full-time MD position staffing two small community hospital locations


• Both facilities offer outpatient surgeries, endoscopy, and short overnight stays depending on patient conditions


• Procedures include OB spinals/epidurals, orthopedic upper and lower extremity regional blocks, general surgery, TAP blocks, and general bread-and-butter cases


• Shift times: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday; beeper call shifts Monday through Friday 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM; weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM


• Daily patient volume: 5-20 cases per day


• MD cases may involve working own cases or supervising CRNAs


• MD to CRNA ratio: 1:3 or 1:4 at primary location; 1:5 at secondary location


• Secondary location staffed with MD only on Fridays with no CRNAs present


• Call coverage required - Monday through Friday 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM and weekends 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM


• Must be willing to cover both locations at all times and remain flexible with shift times


• Coverage needs confirmed the day prior by surgical and anesthesia staff


• Facility utilizes Meditech, Medaxion, PODS, and QGenda scheduling application


• Board certified required; 5-10 years of experience preferred with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience required
