Job Details:

• Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide coverage at a Level II Trauma Center


• Locum provider must be willing to provide coverage at an affiliated free-standing emergency room in Vero Beach, with the bulk of coverage at the main hospital


• Emergency department sees 61,000 annual patient visits in the Main ED and 16,000 in the Pediatric ED


• 42-bed ED including 5 fast track beds plus 5 monitored beds


• 3 trauma bays including 1 dedicated pediatric trauma bay


• 70 total hours of physician coverage across Main ED and Pediatric ED


• 60 hours of APP coverage available


• 26% admit rate


• EMR systems include Meditech, Pdoc, and Dragon Dictation


• Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane capability


• Interventional cardiac cath facility on site


• Code ICE facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability


• Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound machines available


• 24-hour in-house Hospitalist and Intensivists


• No floor code or consult responsibilities


• ABEM board certification required


• 10 positions available
