Job Details:

• Must have recent experience seeing high volume and high acuity patients


• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine required


• Minimum 2-3 years of recent emergency medicine experience required


• Must hold an unrestricted Georgia medical license free of restrictions, probationary terms, or conditions


• No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension in any jurisdiction


• Active Georgia DEA required


• EMR system: Expanse


• Emergency department consists of 20 ED bays, 12 fast track bays, and 3 high security rooms


• Patient volume of 1.8-2.0 patients per hour


• Nurse/APP triage available for lower acuity patients via fast track area from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM


• Physician shifts are 11-hour shifts: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM


• Mid-level coverage provides 30 hours of coverage with 10-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM


• 2-4 emergency medicine providers on site at the same time


• ED admission rate of 12-16%


• Ongoing need with 2 additional locum positions available

The network of physician practices is staffed with highly skilled, board-certified physicians and specialists offering the latest in medical advancements including cancer care, heart attack procedures, women's services, and wound care.
