Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine position covering both freestanding emergency department (FSED) and main hospital locations on an occasional basis


• Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) or have previous HCA experience


• If not ABEM board certified, minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience required


• Certifications accepted include IM, FP, or ABEM


• Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies


• 12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage


• FSED operates with 12 bays handling low to mid acuity patients with single provider coverage


• Main hospital operates with 80 bays handling mid to high acuity patients with multi-provider coverage


• Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes


• FSED admission rate is 8-10% and approximately 30% at the main hospital


• No trauma center designation


• Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity available at main hospital only, not at FSED


• Orientation includes 2 shadow days and 1 IT day with in-house orientation


• 5 positions available
