Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage at a freestanding emergency department (FSED)


• 6-month duration of need


• Shifts available are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM


• No call required


• Work as the sole emergency medicine physician on staff per shift


• Perform all emergency department procedures including sedation, intubation, central lines, and more


• Support staff includes 2-3 RNs and a radiology technician


• Treat a typical suburban FSED patient mix with an average census of fewer than 30 patients per day


• Facility has 12 beds with fewer than 10 daily admissions


• Not a trauma center


• Must be board certified or board eligible by ABEM


• Must have graduated from an emergency medicine residency program


• Limited orientation of 2-4 hours expected; must be able to function independently in an FSED setting
