Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine position requiring BCEM board certification or previous HCA experience


• Must be IM/FP/ABEM certified; if not ABEM certified, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required


• 12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage


• Duration of need is 6 to 12 months to start


• 2-day shadow orientation and one day of IT training with in-house MedStaff orientation required


• Free-standing emergency department features 12 bays with single provider coverage handling low to mid acuity patients


• Main facility features 80 bays with multi-provider coverage handling mid to high acuity patients


• Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes


• ED admission rate is 8 to 10 percent at freestanding location and approximately 30 percent at main facility


• Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies


• 5 positions available
