### Locums | Emergency Medicine | Fortuna, CA (Active CA License Required)### Why This Role
- Two physicians needed for ongoing 2027 coverage
- Multiple day, evening, and overnight shifts
- Temporary privileges may be considered for clean files
- Full onsite specialty support available 24/7
- Epic EMR ### Assignment Details
- Location: Fortuna, California
- Start Date: January 1, 2027
- Duration: Ongoing
- Earlier Coverage: December 2026 shifts may be available for providers who qualify for temporary privileges
- Setting: Hospital-based Emergency Department
- Call: None
- Commitment: Specific monthly shift requirements will vary
- Department Size: 32 beds
- Volume: Approximately 110 patients every 24 hours
- Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
- EMR: Epic ### Shift Options
- 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 1:00 PM–11:00 PM
- 3:00 PM–12:00 AM
- 9:00 PM–6:00 AM
- 11:00 PM–8:00 AM ### Requirements
- ABEM- or AOBEM-certified, or board eligible within three to five years of residency
- ABIM- and ABFM-only physicians are not accepted
- Active California medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications
- Current CV required at submission
- Two to three physician references with names, email addresses, and phone numbers
- Clean professional, licensure, and malpractice history ### Clinical Details
- Level III trauma setting
- Broad emergency medicine coverage
- No inpatient admissions or rounding
- No newborn deliveries received in the Emergency Department
- Labor and delivery services available onsite
- The following services are available 24/7: - Anesthesia - Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery - General and orthopedic surgery - Neurosurgery - Catheterization laboratory - Laboratory and radiology
- No APP or resident supervision required ### Travel
- Assignment-related travel reimbursement is subject to policy and advance approval
- Airport parking at the provider’s departure airport may be reimbursed
- Transportation between the destination airport, lodging, and assignment site may be reimbursed
- Transportation between the provider’s home and departure airport is not reimbursed
