Central Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled ENT Surgeon (Otolaryngologist) to join our growing specialty care program serving the underserved populations of Travis County. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while helping shape and expand access to specialty services in a mission-driven healthcare organization.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with patients, families, clinical teams, and operational leaders to deliver comprehensive outpatient ENT care. This role combines clinical excellence, surgical expertise, teaching responsibilities, and program development to improve healthcare outcomes for our community.
Position Summary
This is a full-time outpatient position focused primarily on:
Evaluating and treating patients with ENT-related conditions in a clinic setting
Performing outpatient ENT procedures and elective surgeries
Delivering surgical care in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams
Supporting quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
Serving as a clinical educator for learners at various levels
Supervising advanced practice providers, as appropriate
Approximately 90% of time is dedicated to clinical care, with 10% allocated to administrative responsibilities, including workflow development and program enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with ENT-related conditions
Perform outpatient ENT procedures and surgeries within credentialing privileges
Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations
Prescribe medications and therapies related to ENT treatment and surgical care
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Program Development & Quality Improvement
Assist in designing clinical infrastructure and workflows to improve patient access and care delivery
Support evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Promote high standards of medical practice and operational excellence
Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of Central Health's specialty care services
Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to foster a team-oriented environment
Direct and support professional and ancillary healthcare staff during patient care activities
Respond to patient and staff inquiries regarding surgical care and treatment plans
Serve as a clinical mentor and attending physician for trainees and learners
Champion organizational initiatives that improve operations and patient outcomes
Qualifications
Required Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of an accredited Otolaryngology (ENT) residency program
Preferred Education
Fellowship training in a relevant subspecialty area (preferred but not required)
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of clinical and surgical ENT experience
Preferred Experience
5+ years of ENT practice experience
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Required Licensure & Certifications
Unrestricted Texas medical license
Board Certified in Otolaryngology, or successful completion of board certification examination within two years of employment
Current DEA registration
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
