Physician - Hospital Medicine
Job Details:
- Full-time Hospitalist position within a high-performing academic hospital medicine program
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine required; MD or DO with eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure
- Schedule of approximately 17-19 shifts per month using a non-block scheduling model
- Average patient census of 14-16 patients per shift with a cap of approximately 18-20
- Closed ICU model with 24/7 intensivist coverage; intensivists lead code situations and ICU care
- Hospitalists manage rapid responses as part of their core responsibilities
- Team-based structure with 25+ Hospitalists and strong specialty backup
- Active involvement in resident teaching, supervision, and academic engagement
- Faculty appointment opportunities available through Quinnipiac University
- Participation in quality improvement, clinical education, and curriculum development
