Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Permanent placement opportunity in Gastroenterology with an expected start date of July 1st or sooner upon credentialing
• Will consider fellowship-trained providers within 1 year of residency completion
• Will consider unlicensed candidates with strong ties to Orange County or California
• Approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
• Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, and injection of varices
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement required
• ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
• Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
• Perform small bowel biopsy
• Perform lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible required, rigid preferred) and colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred; no EUS expectation in this role
• No liver biopsy required
