### Locums | Critical Care APP (PA/NP) | Hershey, PA (Active PA License Required)### Why This RoleJoin a cardiovascular critical care team at a Level I trauma center, managing high-acuity cardiac ICU patients under an intensivist‚Äôs guidance. This role is designed for an experienced APP proficient with advanced mechanical circulatory support, cardiac transplant patients, and bedside procedures.### Assignment Details

Start date: As soon as credentialed
Coverage authorized through March 31, 2027
Assignment is limited to this period; extension beyond March 2027 is not confirmed
Three 13-hour shifts per week
Day shift: 7:00 a.m.‚Äì8:00 p.m.
Night shift: 7:00 p.m.‚Äì8:00 a.m.
Must participate in nights, weekends, and holidays
Inpatient cardiovascular critical care setting
Approximately 8‚Äì12 patients per shift
30-bed department
Cerner EMR
No call
No guaranteed hours
Overtime is not preferred
Lunch is unpaid and excluded from worked hours
Approximately 60‚Äì90 days for credentialing
Temporary privileges are not available

Clinical Responsibilities

Daily cardiovascular ICU rounding
High-acuity patient management
Admissions and order entry
Postoperative cardiovascular care
Work under the guidance of an intensivist
Manage patients requiring:
Perform arterial line placement
Perform central line placement
Place Swan-Ganz catheters
Remove intra-aortic balloon pumps

Requirements

Experienced critical care PA or NP
Board-certified as an advanced practice provider
Active Pennsylvania APP license required
IMLC is not accepted
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Cardiac ICU experience required
Experience with ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant patients
Proficiency with required invasive bedside procedures
Availability for three 13-hour shifts weekly
Must be willing to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays
