Board Certified/Board Eligible - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Medical Director)
Job Details:
- Full-time employed Medical Director opportunity leading a 39-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Conduct daily rounding with therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses
- Oversee clinical quality and patient outcomes across the rehabilitation unit
- Work closely with a hospitalist team for medical management support
- MD or DO required, licensed and in good standing to practice medicine in the state of Iowa
- Board Certified and maintaining certification through a nationally recognized board
- Must be eligible for and in good standing with the Hospital Medical Staff, meeting all medical staff bylaws and credentialing requirements
- Demonstrated training and experience in inpatient rehabilitation required, including one of the following: completion of a PM&R residency, completion of at least one year of rehabilitation fellowship training, or completion of a one-year hospital internship plus a minimum of two years of experience as part of a multidisciplinary team managing inpatient rehabilitation patients
- 2-year guaranteed salary structure
- CME allowance provided
- 4 weeks PTO plus 6 holidays and 1 week CME
- PSLF eligible position
