Med Ninjas is recruiting a full-time Neonatologist for a collaborative, high-acuity NICU team in Alexandria, Louisiana. The position offers a balanced 7-on/7-off schedule with a home call model after daily rounds.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with a wide range of acuity and case complexity

• Conduct daily neonatal rounds and manage patient care plans

• Oversee and support 24/7 in-house NNP coverage

• Participate in home call coverage after completing daily rounds

• Manage newborn nursery rounds as part of patient care responsibilities

• Provide coverage for in-house patients while the NNP-led transport team manages neonatal transports

• Deliver care aligned with evidence-based protocols and quality improvement initiatives

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collegial clinical environment

You Must Have

• Board certification in Pediatrics

• Board eligibility or board certification in Neonatology

• Louisiana medical license, or willingness to obtain

• Clean malpractice and license history, highly preferred

• Active DEA prior to start

• NPDB self-query pulled within the last 30 days

• Willingness to reside within the immediate local area; relocation may be required

• This role does not accept locums or visa candidates
