Assignment Details
• Start/end: Ongoing
• Schedule: Ongoing call coverage; 24-hour and 5p-7a shifts
• Coverage type: Call only; beeper call
• Call response: 30 minutes
• Volume: ~5-6 patients/day; 2-3 admissions/day; ~1,100 deliveries/year
• Setting: Inpatient; Level II Trauma Center; Level III NICU; 10-bed department
• Support: 3-5 RNs, 2 office staff; MFM resources available through on-campus clinic
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: ~45 days; temporary privileges available
Clinical Details
• Required scope: Low- and high-risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound performance/interpretation, and amniocentesis
• Required delivery scope: Vaginal delivery, low forceps, C-section decision-making, C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions, and VBACs
• Required: Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations
• Preferred: Laparoscopic and major operative gynecology
• High-risk antepartum patients managed on site
Requirements
• BC/BE in OB/GYN
• License: ID or IMLC
• Active DEA
Compensation
