Physician - Psych Child and Adolescent

Job Details:

• Provide and supervise medical and physical care to inpatient psychiatric patients


• Utilize appropriate psychotherapeutic methods, medication management, and treatment plan development in collaboration with treatment team members, pharmacy, and other hospital staff


• Work closely with nurse practitioner support


• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call responsibilities


• See 14-16 patients per shift


• Manage a wide variety of primary psychiatric diagnoses including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders


• Experience and competence with management of wide age ranges from pre-adolescent to geriatric populations required


• Board certified or board eligible psychiatrist with board certification required within 24 months of eligibility


• Previous experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting required


• Child/Adolescent psychiatry board certification preferred


• 3+ years of experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred


• EPIC EMR experience preferred


• ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
