Physician - Radiology - Interventional

Job Details:

• Provide locum interventional radiology (IR) coverage with general IR experience required and stroke capabilities preferred


• 8-hour day shifts generally between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with evening call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, and 24-hour call on weekends


• Coverage dates needed: 11/25 (8:00 AM) - 12/1 (8:00 AM) and 12/22 (3:00 PM) - 12/31 (8:00 AM)


• Average number of procedures performed during an 8-hour on-site day shift ranges from 10-15


• Call back during weekday and weekend call shifts varies; providers typically only come in for emergencies


• Required procedures include diagnostic and therapeutic vascular intervention, angiography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolytic therapy, embolization therapy, vascular access devices/PICCs, central lines, port-a-cath insertions, IVC filters, TIPS, percutaneous needle biopsies, abscess drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, pain management procedures, vertebroplasty, arthrograms, chest tube insertion, uterine artery embolization, liver Y90/TACE, gastrostomy tube insertion, nephrostomy/ureteral stent insertion, renal fistulograms, and cryoablation


• Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy capability is required


• EMR system used is Epic


• Active North Dakota license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) required


• Board Certification, IR residency or fellowship, ACLS, and BLS required


• Clean malpractice history highly preferred
