Cardiovascular Surgeon needed in Detroit, MI.

Join a growing cardiovascular program in Detroit, MI, where significant investment is being made to expand cardiovascular services across metro Detroit.

• Employed cardiovascular surgery position with Medical Group.
• Practice based at the TPR Cardiovascular Clinic within Hospital campus.
• Daily hospital rounds with a typical schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Clinic at 1 Hospital at least one day per week.
• Approximately 40 hours per week dedicated to patient care, including OR and clinic responsibilities.
• Clinical mix of approximately 75% OR time, 15% clinic, and 10% rounding.
• Shared call rotation currently 1:2 with plans to expand to 1:3.
• Hospital-compensated call coverage | Call includes consults, cardiac surgery emergencies, ECMO, transfers, weekends, and holidays.
• Typical clinic volume of 5 to 7 patients per day, depending on referrals and post-surgical follow-up.
• Collaborate with a cardiovascular team that includes interventional and non-invasive cardiologists, pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, and a large cardiovascular referral base.

• Employed position within a growing cardiovascular service line.
• Hospital-compensated call coverage.
• Experienced APP support for ICU and inpatient care, including ECMO management assistance.
• Established APP training infrastructure that supports physician efficiency and patient care.
