Position Highlights Your Expertise Can Change a Veteran's Cancer Journey
The Hematologist/Oncologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for Veterans with benign and malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumors while working closely with a multidisciplinary oncology team.
Diagnosis and treatment of hematologic and oncologic diseases
Chemotherapy and immunotherapy management
Survivorship and supportive care
Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards
Collaboration with surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, palliative care, and primary care teams
Patient education and shared decision-making
Collaborative partnership with the Durham VA Cancer Program
Comprehensive Oncology Practice
In-House Referrals
New Cancer Diagnoses & Longitudinal Patient Care
Office-Based Basic Biopsies
Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards
