Company OverviewHeadquartered in El Segundo, Podium is North America's fastest growing digital publisher, driven by its mission is to change the lives of trendsetting storytellers by discovering, developing, and amplifying their work.Job OverviewPodium Entertainment is hiring a Pre-Production Associate who will play a key role supporting a fast-paced world of independent audiobook publishing, with an emphasis on editorial and assets management as it pertains to audiobook production. This person will report to the pre-production manager but will interact closely with other departments in order to move projects forward. Ideally looking for someone near the start of their career, who can grow with the company as Podium continues to scale.ResponsibilitiesPerform outreach to authors, agents, and outside contractors for production materialsProcess manuscripts, author notes, and pronunciations as per Podium's specs for narrators and the production teamMonitor upcoming production projects, ensuring all elements are in place before recording (i.e., billboards, scripts, notes, audio files)Assist with data management and general production admin for producers (editorial, pronunciation documents, archive project files)Generate and upload credits/billboards for all titlesCommunicate and problem solve with acquisitions and casting departments on pre-production statusesQualifications:One year's publishing experience or similar experienceBachelor's degree in English (or related field) and/or publishing certificateStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust have strong administrative and organizational skills and a high attention to detailExperience in a fast-paced work environment and customer/external stakeholders' careHave the desire to accomplish tasks efficiently with an eye toward qualityShould feel confident asking questions when confused, contributing new ideas and thoughts re: workflow, and taking initiative to identify and solve problemsA highly self-motivated, critical thinker with ability to think your way through potentially complicated tasks. Must be able to follow instructions/specs and be able to work well independently and as part of a collaborative teamProficient with Microsoft Office and computer savvy.
