We are seeking a Principal Project Engineer - Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Open Systems Solutions (OSS) Products Team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The OSS organization delivers next-generation open architecture products designed for rapid capability deployment and modular system integration.

As a TPM, you will provide program leadership across multi-functional engineering teams, ensuring alignment of schedule, cost, customer commitments, and program execution. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management teams to deliver successful outcomes for our military customers.

What You Will Do

  • Lead program planning and execution across the full development lifecycle, ensuring delivery against cost, schedule, and contractual commitments
  • Coordinate major engineering events and reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) by driving preparation, tracking action items, and ensuring cross-functional readiness
  • Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and support required government reporting
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and opportunities, ensuring timely communication and decision-making
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to align engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders
  • Manage program schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and execution metrics
  • Support bids and proposals, including BOEs, schedule development, and cost estimates
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement, status reviews, and issue resolution
  • Coach and mentor junior program managers in execution discipline and program leadership best practice
  • 10% Travel Required

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and government program reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute complex technical programs
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and methodologies
  • Experience coordinating or supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, systems, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers and external partners
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret after start date
  • U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) is required, as access to information under this program/contract is restricted to individuals with sole U.S. citizenship
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
