The Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality products. Responsible for executing assembly tasks according to the work instructions, this role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. The Production Assembler must achieve set production goals, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and leverage Lean manufacturing tools to enhance efficiency.
1st shift: Monday - Thursday (plus some Fridays) 5:30am- 4:00pm
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday (plus some Fridays) 3:45pm- 2:15am
Core functions include following established work instructions to properly assemble products and/or different parts of products, achieving established goals or deadlines set for specific work areas, completing all required paperwork and/or data entry, and performing other duties as assigned.
Skills, abilities, and knowledge include the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; the ability to write routine reports and correspondence; the ability to perform basic math; and the ability to read and interpret tape measurements accurately.
Competencies include adapting to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, changing approach or method to best fit the situation, responding promptly to customer needs, following instructions, responding to management direction, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, observing safety and security procedures, balancing team and individual responsibilities, and speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
Supervisor responsibilities include individual contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
Physical requirements include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical activities include reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required to perform an activity such as operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach, performing mechanical or skilled trades' tasks of a non-repetitive nature. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
