Production Manager

The Production Manager oversees manufacturing operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, efficiency, cost management, equipment performance, and employee involvement. Working through team leaders and supervisors, this role assesses production performance, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and implements strategies to maximize output, improve equipment reliability, strengthen process controls, and minimize waste. You will also promotes teamwork, encourages employee participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and builds a workplace culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead employees through performance management, coaching, and development to drive engagement and departmental success.
• Enforce safety policies, conduct regular inspections, and maintain compliance with food safety, SQF, BRC, and security standards.
• Optimize production efficiency, uptime, reliability, OEE, and costs using operational data and continuous improvement strategies.
• Establish production schedules, prioritize workloads, and allocate resources to meet business, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure product quality and customer expectations are consistently met while troubleshooting equipment, ingredient, and packaging issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Promote clear communication, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of leadership experience
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing operations and applicable FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
