Production Supervisor
Apply NowThe Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
* Ensure production processes run efficiently and meet daily output targets.
* Monitor and enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
* Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
* Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support production flow and resolve issues.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability.
* Address production issues proactively to minimize downtime.
* Analyze production losses and implement corrective actions on an ongoing basis (hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly).
* Provide clear daily direction and performance expectations to team members.
* Step in to operate equipment as needed to support production goals when short-handed.
* Maintain and update hourly production tracking boards and generate daily reports with action plans.
* Spend the majority of time (approximately 85%) on the production floor supporting employees and operations.
* Complete administrative responsibilities (approximately 15% of time), including time approvals, performance evaluations, and action plan updates.
Qualifications:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
* 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work in a wood manufacturing environment, including exposure to elevated noise levels, sawdust, and machinery.
Schedule:
* Base Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
* Overtime as needed to meet business demands
