Program Manager

Location: Chicago, IL Position Type: full time Rate: DOE USC and GC preferred - No third parties Agencies or Corp to Corp

Responsibility:

• Expanding program offering and enhancing the quality of existing programs
• Developing and implementing strategy for the program team, including developing a robust risk mitigation plan
• Understanding how different projects interlink and overlap
• Managing resources for programs
• Managing budgets and reporting on fund allocation
• Good in writing proposals
• Identifying opportunities for continual improvement
• Ensuring relevant project/program standards, process and regulations are upheld

Functional Skills:

• Lead strategy and planning sessions as required developing project scope with stakeholders for approved projects.
• Develop project charter including project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables. Communicate clear expectations with team members and other stakeholders, and continually manage those expectations throughout the life of the project.
• Develop and manage full-scale project plans and communications that required a significant level of cross functional coordination including status reports and other documentation.
• Document and maintain documentation for project in Project Web App.
• Responsible for identifying and resolving project issues and managing project dependencies to keep the critical path on track.
• Conduct project post mortems and create recommendations report in order to document the success and challenges that were experienced over the life of the project.
• Mentor associates and foster a learning and growth environment
• General oversight of the Project Management Office
