Project Manager Commercial & Industrial Construction

A well-established, privately held general contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their growing team. The company has a strong track record delivering commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Chicagoland market and surrounding Midwest.

Their portfolio includes industrial/manufacturing facilities, warehouses and distribution centers, food processing facilities, build-to-suit developments, retail, tenant improvements, expansions, and transportation-related projects.

With a strong reputation for quality, client service, and repeat business, the company offers PMs the opportunity to take real ownership of their projects from preconstruction through completion.

This is a great opportunity for a construction PM who enjoys being involved in the full project lifecycle and working directly with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.

You'll be responsible for managing project budget, schedule, procurement, subcontractors, client communication, and overall execution while partnering closely with the Superintendent and project team.

Manage commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost reports

Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams

Lead subcontractor bidding, scope review, procurement, and contract negotiations

Coordinate design development, construction documents, and project specifications

Track long-lead materials and equipment

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation

Lead project and subcontractor meetings

Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule

Partner with the Superintendent on day-to-day field coordination

Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project

Identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track

Utilize Procore and other project management tools

Support commissioning, punch list, turnover, and final closeout

8+ years of construction project management experience

Experience with a general contractor

Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and project execution

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of projects

Procore experience preferred

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred

Established and growing general contractor with a strong Midwest presence
