Job DescriptionA large, established freestanding psychiatric hospital in the Greater Tampa Bay area is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health and substance-use treatment program.
This is a senior physician leadership opportunity designed for a psychiatrist who enjoys combining clinical care with program development, physician mentorship, quality improvement, and operational collaboration. The position offers a competitive compensation package of $450,000+, a predictable weekday schedule, and strong clinical support from psychiatric APPs and a multidisciplinary hospital team.
The Medical Director will play a key role in advancing clinical excellence, strengthening physician engagement, ensuring regulatory readiness, and supporting the continued growth of a high-performing behavioral health program.

The hospital is a 100+ bed inpatient psychiatric facility providing acute stabilization and treatment for a diverse patient population. Services include:
Adult and senior psychiatric care
Dual-diagnosis and co-occurring disorder treatment
Substance-use treatment and medically supported detoxification
Adolescent behavioral health services
Clinical presentations include:
Mood disorders
Psychotic disorders
Anxiety and trauma-related disorders
