Physical Therapist Assistant

Provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Implement treatment plans to improve residents mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities. Deliver direct therapy services such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities. Observe and report resident responses, progress, and changes in condition to the supervising PT. Assist with resident assessments, documentation, and care planning. Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques for use outside therapy sessions. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system. Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of therapy equipment and assistive devices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and participate in team meetings to support coordinated care. Adhere to all regulatory and professional standards, and maintain required licensure and continuing education. Work primarily in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care environment alongside a collaborative team, and assist residents with mobility tasks.
