Quality Control Mechanical Inspector/ CMM Programmer

Daily measuring of precision machined components to Aerospace AS9100 procedures using CMMs, micrometers, comparators as well as other various types of manufacturing gages.

• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts per the customers spec or AS9100 standard.


• Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly way.


• Yearly Gage calibrations


• Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to ensure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing.


• Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs.


• Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation.

Requirements:

• CMM experience, particularly with Zeiss Calypso programming and setup, is highly valued. Starting compensation will be commensurate with experience, with premium pay available for candidates possessing advanced Zeiss Calypso skills.


• Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration.


• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting.


• Minimum of 5 years experience in an ISO/AS9100 certified machine shop.


• Basic math and computer skills as well as an understanding of geometric tolerances.
