We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Recycling Associate to support daily recycling operations. This role involves sorting materials, maintaining a clean work area, and helping ensure recyclable items are processed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, etc.)
- Inspect items and remove non-recyclable or contaminated materials
- Operate basic equipment such as balers, compactors, or conveyor systems (training provided)
- Load and unload materials from trucks or bins
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling guidelines
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Previous warehouse, labor, or recycling experience is a plus (not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
- Ability to lift up to [40-50 lbs] and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable and punctual
