About the Position

We are seeking a dependable CDL-A Tandem Driver for regional delivery routes originating in Coppell, Texas. This position involves delivering pet food and accessories, with a combination of pallet-jack deliveries and touch freight handled by handcart when required.

Pay & Schedule Details

• $28 per hour
  
• Four-day work week, typically Tuesday through Friday
  
• Start times typically range from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., depending on the assigned route
  
• Regional routes with overnight stays required, typically at least two overnights per week
  
• $40 per diem for each layover
  
• Fuel and hotel expenses supported through a Comdata card
  

Job Details

• Route type: Regional, multi-stop delivery routes

• Equipment: Tandem tractor-trailer, pallet jack, and handcart
  
• Freight handling: Primarily pallet-jack deliveries with some touch freight based on customer requirements and delivery setup
  

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A tandem vehicle on regional delivery routes
  
• Deliver pet food and accessories to multiple customer locations
  
• Load, unload, and move freight using a pallet jack and handcart
  
• Complete touch freight deliveries when required by customer needs
  
• Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and safety procedures
  
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and provide professional customer service
  

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL-A
  
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
  
• Experience with lift gates and pallet jacks
  
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
  
• Ability to handle palletized and touch freight
  
• Availability for early morning starts and required overnight stays
