It's a collaborative OB environment for nurses who want to build strong high-risk obstetric skills.
About the Role/Unit: A Registered Nurse with the Labor & Delivery unit at Sinai Hospital will provide skilled, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients throughout the full spectrum of the perinatal period in accordance with AWHONN standards and best practices. The nurse will work on a 23-bed unit that supports all levels of obstetrical care-including antepartum, intrapartum, high-risk labor, cesarean section, immediate postpartum recovery, and obstetrical emergencies. The Labor and Delivery nurse plays a critical role in ensuring safety, patient-centered outcomes for mothers and newborns.
This position offers a potential of up to $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- The nurse will conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, monitor vital signs, uterine activity, and fetal heart rate patterns, and recognize early signs of complications.
- Care for patients with high-risk pregnancies on bedrest or undergoing treatment, and provide immediate postpartum recovery care including uterine assessment, pain control, newborn bonding, and breastfeeding support.
- Participate in rapid response during obstetrical emergencies including shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, hypertensive crisis, and fetal distress.
Requirements:
Education: BSN preferred from CCNE accredited schools
Licensure: Maryland Registered Nurse License
Certification: American Heart Association BLS Certification; ACLS & NRP are required to be obtained prior to orientation completion
Experience: At least 1 year of RN L&D experience is required
Pay Range: $37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
